For sixty years,Arthur F. Mulligan has been a provider of the regional transportation needs in Ulster County. In the earlier years, A.F.M.  started out as a taxi company that also offered the transportation services of one coach bus. In the mid-nineteen sixties, we expanded our transportation role to encompass the need of area parochial schools.

Today, A.F.M. serves the Kingston City, Rondout Valley Central and Onteora Central school districts with a fleet of one hundred ninety full size and van style buses.  We are responsible for the safety and transportation of nearly nine thousand students daily and log approximately two million miles a year on our designated routes.

January 2009, Arthur F. Mulligan, Inc. was acquired by Birnie Bus Service, Inc. of central New York.

Arthur F. Mulligan's administrative office is located in Tillson, New York. The corporate offices, Birnie Bus Service, Inc. is located in Rome, NY.

Former owners  Gary and Sally Mulligan retired in the spring of 2009 after many years of dedicated and quality service to the community.  They continue to take great pride of their family's four decades of success in student transportation.  Birnie Bus Service, Inc. will continue that legacy and continue to recognize that maintaining this standard of excellence is a serious committment because of the serious nature of the business itself.  And well it should be, because many local communities trust us to get their children to school safely and on time.
